The Assam Industrial Training Institute opened in Bamunimaidan to do one thing well: turn out skilled workers the region's industries actually hire. Seventeen years on, that mandate is unchanged — just sharper. Today's workshops add CNC, embedded electronics and CAD/CAM to the traditional anvil and arc-welder. The certificates remain government-issued.

We are a registered institute run by the AITIPP Education Council, and we exist for the student whose name nobody has heard yet — the one whose first paycheck will change a household's trajectory. That is the only metric of success we keep.

Our affiliations are not branding. The State Council for Vocational Training (Government of Assam) and the National Council for Vocational Training certify our trade courses. Indian Railways, the PSUs, the Indian Defence Services and dozens of private employers across the country recognise the same papers.

Our Vision

A workforce the Northeast can rely on.

AITI envisions empowering students through quality vocational education — fostering innovation, inclusivity and skill development to create industry-ready professionals. We aim to be a centre of excellence, driving progress and shaping a skilled workforce for Assam and beyond.

Our Mission

Equip youth with job-ready hands.

AITI's mission is to bridge education and employment — fostering self-reliance, promoting entrepreneurship and combating unemployment by delivering accessible, affordable, and industry-focused training for a stronger, self-sufficient Assam and Northeast India.

Why AITI

Five reasons families trust us with their children's first career.

A vocational education is a serious choice. Here is exactly what your fee buys — and what it doesn't.
